Saturday, February 22, 2025, the "Basement" returns to the Teatro SanbàPolis in Trento, the appointments with Basement, "A Place To Dance", the series of events dedicated to the world of electronic music - included in the programming of the SanbàClub curated by the Centro Servizi Culturali S. Chiara di Trento.
Thus, the journey continues to discover the sounds, styles and influences that have shaped the club culture as we know it today. For the first event of the year, three guests will be on the console, united by their love for groove and basslines.
The main event of the evening will be represented by Chilean DJ Paula Tape, who has become a reference point for lovers of the intersections between house music and Balearic music in recent years. Growing up in Santiago de Chile before moving to Europe, Paula has built her experience from drummer, in different indie formations, to console with enormous naturalness. Her productions have impressed several high-profile international selectors including Gilles Peterson, who recruited her for his Worldwide FM at the helm of the very personal show "Astral Jam". Important names also for the labels on which Paula has produced, including Future Classic, Rhythm Section and Permanent Vacation. In addition to cult clubs including Koko, Fabrik, Le Sucre, Panorama Bar, Vent and Pikes, Paula has starred in festivals such as the famous Glastonbury, along with the legendary DJ Harvey at Nuits Sonore and many more.
At his side for the occasion, on Saturday 22 February there will be the duo Eternal Love, composed of Federico Facchinetti and Edoardo Aldini, a Milanese DJ and producer. In 2018 they opened the Youtube channel of the same name, which will soon become a trusted collector of rare gems for all diggers, selectors, DJs and lovers of world, funk and Balearic music. Driven by a natural genesis of the project, they decided to bring their selection to the clubs, creating colorful and energetic sets that soon garnered much acclaim in international dancefloors. Since 2019, in fact, the selection of Eternal Love has touched distant soundsystems, crossing many borders including those of clubs such as the Rex Club, Kaiku, Village Underground and Mitsuki in Tokyo. In 2022 they produced their first EP "Altar", distributed by Planet Trip Records, which confirms the large number of fans of the duo, quickly reaching the sale of physical copies.
Nicola Belli will finally do the honours of the house, ideally representing Basement. It is difficult to condense his twenty-year career that has gone through different phases of club culture and different stylistic influences. From international parties at the Tresor in Berlin and the Macarena in Barcelona, through the different consoles divided with guests of international profile including Dj Koze, Ame, Moodymann and KiNK, to parallel projects of great echo such as Off Topic, a podcast dedicated to club culture, to date among the most followed on the subject in Italy.
2025 therefore opens worthily after hosting Mall Grab, Zenker Brothers, Stump Valley, KiNK (live), Chaos In The CBD, Lucretio, Godblesscomputers (live), Barbara Boeing, Mala and Bradley Zero over the past year.
In 2025, Basement will continue with other events dedicated to discovering club culture, continuing the ideal journey through contemporary styles, genres and influences.
