How to get there

Getting to Trento is simple and comfortable, thanks to the numerous connections by train, car and with public transport: an efficient network that connects the city with the rest of Trentino, main Italian cities and to central Europe.

By car

Brennero motorway (A22, Trento Nord or Trento Sud exit), state road 12 dell'Abetone e del Brennero from Verona or Bolzano, state road 47 (Valsugana motorway) for those arriving from Venice, and state road 45 bis della Gardesana Occidentale for those arriving from Brescia and Lake Garda.

By train

The train station is next to the historic centre and connects train journeys on the Brennero line, for northbound arrivals and departures, and the Valsugana line, with routes starting from Venice, next to which is the terminal of the local Trento-Malè-Mezzana train coming from Val di Sole.

By bus

Trento is connected to all of the areas of the region thanks to a convenient bus service. In addition, there are direct links with other European cities, including Prague, Innsbruck, Salzburg and České Budějovice, which run weekly. At certain times of year, this service also covers some Italian destinations.

For those who are thinking or arriving by plane, the closest airports to Trento are Bolzano (58km), Verona (96km), Brescia (131km), Treviso (135km), Venezia (165km), Bergamo (181km), Bologna (223km) and Milan (260km).
