EUROPEAN HERITAGE DAYS: ARCHAEOLOGICAL INITIATIVES 

With the theme "Architecture: the art of building", on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September 2025 the European Heritage Days are back, promoted by the Council of Europe and the European Commission with the aim of making cultural heritage appreciated and known to all citizens and encouraging active participation for its protection and transmission to the new generations. The Archaeological Heritage Office also participates in the event with initiatives curated by the Educational Services that take place at the Parco Archeo Natura di Fiavé, the Rhaetian Museum, on the Doss Trento and the Acqua Fredda archaeological area at Passo del Redebus.

Saturday 27 September at 10 am and 3 pm| Trento, Doss Trento
Discover the secrets of the Doss Trento | Walk in the company of a medium mountain guide and the experts of the Educational Services to learn about a particular place in the history of Tridentum and then follow a guided tour of the National Historical Museum of the Alpine Mountains. Free participation by booking by 5.30 pm on the day before the morning activity initiative and by 1.00 pm on the day of the afternoon proposal initiative on 0461 230171. Meeting point at the Alpine Divisions square at the base of the Dosso.

Sunday 28 September| Parco Archeo Natura, Fiavé
11 o'clock Did you say stilts? | Guided tour for everyone to discover the daily life of the 3500-year-old pile-dwelling village of Fiavé. Free participation upon telephone reservation at 3351578640 by 6 pm the previous day. Admission is charged. In case of rain, the activity will be held at the Fiavé Pile-dwelling Museum.

2:00 pm Two poles and a hut | Workshop for families hunting for detail to understand and experience differences and similarities between yesterday's pile dwellings and today's houses. Activity suitable for children from the age of 5. Free participation upon telephone reservation at 3351578640 by 6 pm the previous day. Admission is charged. In case of rain, the activity will be held at the Fiavé Pile-dwelling Museum.

Sunday 28 September | Museo Retico, Sanzeno
2.30 pm La casa dei Reti tells | Workshop for families. A story set in ancient Sanzeno invites participants to explore the museum in search of some artifacts related to the domestic activities of the Networks. Free participation upon telephone reservation at 3334686682 by 12 noon on the day of the initiative. An admission fee is charged.

4.30 pm Networks and ancient Sanzeno | Guided tour. An evocative journey through the well of time invites you to discover the relationships and contacts between the mysterious people of the Reti and the Romans. Free participation upon telephone reservation at 3334686682 by 12 noon on the day of the initiative. An admission fee is charged.

Sunday 28 September at 2.15 pm| Area archeologica Acqua Fredda, Passo del Redebus, Bedollo
To the idea of that metal | Participatory  visit to the site and demonstration archaeology activities for all with archaeometallurgists to discover the secrets of metalworking. Followed by a visit to the surrounding nature reserve with a local guide. Free participation by booking no later than 12 noon on the day of the initiative at number 3316201376.
