The Giro d 'Italia, scheduled from 6 to 28 May 2023, sees the arrival of the 16th day of the race on Monte Bondone, which represents the second "cap" of the Giro, accumulating over 5000 m of altitude difference between pedalable and other harder climbs and with an arrival on the mountain of Trento, after a good 1370 meters of altitude difference and peaks of 15% of slope.
The Sabbio Chiese - Monte Bondone stage is scheduled for 23 May 2023. The first part along the western coastal road of Garda to reach Riva del Garda in Trentino. Followed by the challenging Santa Barbara Pass and the Bordala Pass. Then the descent to Rovereto from where the ride will continue towards Vallarsa and then head towards the Folgaria plateau passing through Serrada. Then a further descent to the Valle dell 'Adige in Calliano. After about 10 kilometres on the plain, the stage includes the climb to Monte Bondone from Aldeno. The mountains of Trentino, therefore, will still be protagonists of the Giro.
