The ensemble Azione_Improvvisa will be the protagonist of the new appointment proposed by the contemporary regional season, created by the Centro Servizi Culturali S. Chiara of Trento and the Teatro Stabile of Bolzano.
On Sunday, March 16, the ensemble will be on stage at the Teatro SanbàPolis in Trento to present the new musical project entitled Nova Selva Sonora, premiering new works by Mauro Lanza and Andrea Valle, in dialogue with an opera by Daniela Fantechi.
The basic idea of the project is to push the boundaries of contemporary music through an innovative use of electronics, light design, the physical presence of mechanical machines and sound objects, in search of a musical world rich and diverse in terms of rhythmic density and timbral exploration, a mirror of the spontaneous and dense growth of plants in a "Jungle", where they get lost, confused, and find themselves.
The musical narration is entrusted to the four musicians of Azione_Improvvisa: Andrea Antonel on theorbo, Margherita Berlanda on the accordion, Pietro Paolo Dinapoli on electric guitar and Daniela Fantechi on electronics.
Azione_Improvvisa is a contemporary music ensemble based in Italy, founded in 2017 by Margherita Berlanda (accordion), Pierpaolo Dinapoli (electric guitar) and Andrea Antonel (tiorba). In 2019, Daniela Fantechi joined as artistic director and electronic performer. Thanks to its unusual training, Azione_Improvvisa stands out for its constant exploration of new sound identities in the field of contemporary music.
