Saturday 25 October 2025 at the Sala Sosat in the historic centre of Trento, the last concert of the 2025 edition will be held.
The concert proposed by Oda Zoe Hochscheid, mezzo-soprano, Doris Hochscheid, cello and Adele D'Aronzo, piano is a compliment to the moon. A moon that becomes the symbol of the night, represented by poets and composers in all its mystery, darkness and tranquility.
Vocal chamber music from various countries will be performed, sung in five different languages, composed by Camille Saint-Sae ̈ns, Joseph Marx, Pauline Viardot, Gabriël Fauré e Antonín Dvorák. The moon enters the scene everywhere, but always with a peculiar and distinct meaning.
The highlight of the program is the new composition "I watched the Moon around the House" by the composer Max Knigge based on poetry by Emily Dickinson, commissioned for the Hochscheid-Hochscheid-van Ruth trio by the Dutch Performing Arts Foundation (Fonds Podiumkunsten). Knigge, a composer already performed by the famous Concertgebouw Orkest in Amsterdam, boasts a rich and internationally recognised vocal production. During the concert, fragments of the new composition alternate with late-romantic pieces, thus creating a stimulating intertwining between the contemporary and traditional Liederistica. A program that guarantees great emotions, engaging high-quality music and a musical choice that is as "romantic" as it is "innovative".
