From 3 October to 12 December 2025, the Cellar Contemporary gallery, in the lively district of San Martino in Trento, hosts the exhibition "MEOW FACTOR: CATS BETWEEN ART, MEDIA, MEME AND a.i.", a curious and ironic journey into the world of cats between art, media, meme and artificial intelligence.
Nowadays, everyone can contribute to the construction of a collective imagination, creating and disseminating the contents themselves. The works are no longer distant and untouchable, and the production of images is no longer something reserved for a very specific group of people.
In relation to this theme, Cellar Contemporary offers an exhibition that focuses on the figure of the cat as an unexpected and multifaceted common thread. The exhibition is called "Meow Factor: Cats between Art, Media, Meme and a.i." and aims to represent how in post-digital visual culture the image of the cat continues to inspire visual artists and at the same time colonize the space of digital media, becoming a transversal icon shared by millions of users. Not only does cat content create immediate complicity, but it generates interactions and is particularly versatile.
Come and discover the Meow Factor at Cellar Contemporary, thanks to the works of artists such as Gustavo Borzaga, Fabio De Meo, Karlien De Villiers, Joe Grillo, Misaki Kawai, Francesca Vanoli, Julia Runggaldier, Meowmeowaiart and the exhibition curated by Carlo Chiusi.
