On Friday, March 3 at 8:30 pm, the Trentino Cathedral will be inaugurated after the restoration work with the "Missa Sancti Vigilii", a new song for the restored cathedral by the Milanese composer Marco Taralli, with text by the well-known Trentino writer Pino Loperfdo to whom Annalisa Lubich, has entrusted the difficult task of using her creative resources to trace an ideal route towards the 2025 Jubilee Year in the heart of a Sacred Music for our times that, after centuries, still finds its most valid and concrete expression in the form of the Mass.
There will be over one hundred and fifty executors involved in the Missa Sancti Vigilii. Next to the Orchestra delle Alpi, the expressive density of the composition is enhanced by the presence of a four-part mixed choir, the Trentino Philharmonic Choir almost simulating the singing metaphor of the Christian people on the way, while the singing of the Pueri Cantores of the Choir of the White Voices of Cles is a metaphor of the angelic and triumphant Church. The choral ensemble closes with an all-thirty pearl, the historic sat Chorus that expresses, through a song with almost transcendental sounds, the human tension towards the Most High.
The Director of the performance brings the signature of one of the most prestigious chopsticks on the international scene, that of Jordi Bernàcer who together with two soloists of recognized value, the mezzo-soprano Veronica Simeoni and the baritone Simone Alberghini guarantees a very high artistic level to the performance.
