For the final appointment of the S cappo a teatro-Famiglie season, the children's theatre programme created by the Centro Servizi Culturali S. Chiara di Trento in collaboration with the Coordinamento Teatrale Trentino, the Teatro Sociale di Trento will host Neverland – In flight to the island that is not there: starting from the novel "Peter Pan" by J.M. Barrie, the MM Contemporary Dance Company - a contemporary dance company directed by Michele Merola - will accompany the audience on a journey to the island that is not there. A show that mixes dance and theatre, produced by MM Contemporary Dance Company, with choreography by Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli.
This story invites us to rediscover the qualities of childhood: wonder, confidence, the aptitude to play and dream, a saving action of imagination and play not to be forgotten in adulthood. Peter Pan represents the pursuit of a lost time that escapes our control, and is for us the joy of adventure and the denial of an excessive rationality that extinguishes the beauty of living.
“Only the dreamer can fly.”
"We think of our show as a ' flight' to freedom, an act of faith in childhood and what it represents. – says the company - As Peter would say: The reason why birds, unlike humans, are able to fly, lies in their unshakable faith, because having faith means having wings".
