A photographic exhibition by the internationally recognised Italian journalist and photographer "Fabio Bucciarelli". The exhibition will be on view from 21 December to 28 February 2025 at Le Gallerie di Piedicastello.
After the personal "Evidence" of 2012 and the organization in 2019, with Atlas of Wars and Conflicts in the World, of "Wars: telling the story of war. Mosul and others", Fabio Bucciarelli returns to the Galleries, which are confirmed as a place of experimentation with languages of history, but also of observation and documentation of the present.
This is an important and extraordinarily topical photographic exhibition, a work of denunciation of the wars and conflicts that are bloodying our present.
As Raffaele Crocco, director of the Atlas of Wars and Conflicts in the World, says, "this exhibition wants to be a cry of alarm. Near us, a few hundred kilometers beyond the sea, a tragedy is taking place that has few precedents, due to the ferocity and determination of those who want to kill. In the Near East, Israel has decided to annihilate a people and, at the same time, has initiated a policy of aggression in the name of a hypothetical "lasting peace", to be achieved with the definitive and total defeat of the enemies: Iran and Hezbollah".
"What you have to do – continues Crocco – is document the massacre, tell the crime". Fabio Bucciarelli did it. He went down to hell to tell us with his photos what happens.
