On the occasion of the Centenary of the Italian Air Force, the Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino presents the exhibition "Cento anni dell 'Aeronautica Militare. The history, capabilities and traditions of the Air Force in its first 100 years", whose inauguration will take place on Tuesday 6 June 2023 at 5.30 pm at Le Gallerie in Trento.
It is a traveling exhibition that is affecting many Italian cities and has so far recorded a significant public and participation success. The exhibition, which can be visited at the Galleries until 3 September, is an informative tool and an opportunity to retrace the 100 years of the history of the Blue Weapon, looking at the present and the future, through a graphic path that highlights the events that have characterized its history from its origins, to project the visitor into the future.
The exhibition, in its version integrated by the Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino, will propose an exhibition with a route that follows the project and the contents of the travelling exhibition. The exhibition path presented at Le Gallerie - two former road tunnels converted into a museum space - will be enriched by some photographs and objects from the collections of the Gianni Caproni Aeronautical Museum, including some aerial models donated by the Grottolo Cav spouses. Daniele and Monica.
The inauguration on Tuesday 6 June will be attended by the Chief Inspector General and President of the Air Force Centenary Programme Office, Basilio Di Martino, Lieutenant Colonel Massimiliano Bianconi, the Councillor for Education, University and Culture of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Mirko Bisesti, the President of the Trento Air Force Association, Fabio Giaccaglia, and the Director of the Trentino Historical Museum Foundation, Giuseppe Ferrandi.
