The presentation of the book "Our Silent Wars" by David Valentini will be held on Thursday 3 April 2025 at the Trento Municipal Library.
A very enjoyable book also for those who meet David Valentini's prose for the first time, and which increasingly outlines the idea of a fragmented universe, in which the lives, careers and even the addresses of those who appear between the pages are closely connected. We find Filippo, who is rebuilding a family with his new companion Sara, and his sister Federica, returning from Bolzano; we meet Cesare, Eugenio, Katia and Lorenzo, all employees of Verdicchio Consulting. There are those who are forced to give in to blackmail with the mafia, those who refuse to sacrifice everything at work, those who find themselves assisting a sick father.
A book to reflect on relationships, the feeling of precariousness and the difficulty of making choices for the future at a time of historical uncertainty.
The meeting will be moderated and will end with a moment of discussion dedicated to the public.
The organization of the meetings is part of the framework of the Pact for the reading of the city of Trento and is the result of the collaboration between the Municipal Library of Trento and the Two-Point Library, among the signatories of the Pact.
