From 20 April to 5 May 2024, in the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Trento, you can visit the photographic exhibition on the Camino de Santiago and the Via Francigena entitled "On the footsteps of medieval pilgrims from Compostela and Rome"
The 63-panel photographic exhibition, complete with objects and more, accompanies visitors on their way to Santiago de Compostela in Spain and along the Via Francigena in Italy.
These shots are selected among the best images of the calendars that the Associazione Pellegrini per Sempre - born and based in Trentino - has been producing for ten years. All the revenues from the calendars have been donated to the support of people and situations in difficulty.
The exhibition is an invitation to immerse oneself in images that would like to convey the pleasure of walking as a resumption of natural rhythms, to tell how a slow time helps to grasp the details of the landscapes crossed and facilitates listening to oneself and fellow travellers, to suggest the value of sharing paths on trails drawn from a thousand-year-old history.
