An appointment with Pint of Science is now an unmissable moment for those who love science told informally, over a glass of beer. In 2025, the festival celebrates the tenth Italian edition and returns with even more energy: 26 cities, 80 pubs and 234 talks throughout the peninsula, united by a single goal – to take science out of the laboratories and share it with everyone. The evenings of 19, 20 and 21 May will animate over 500 cities around the world, making this event one of the largest in the world dedicated to live science dissemination.
Trento is also preparing to participate enthusiastically in this festival of knowledge, which has been taking place in the city since the first edition in 2015. Thisyear, there will be four venues involved: Uva e Menta , Domo, Urban – alle Albere and Symposium. Each night, in each of the pubs, three speakers will offer talks lasting about 30 minutes, followed by questions and open discussion with the public, in a convivial atmosphere made even more welcoming by a good beer.
In Trento, the 2025 programme will touch on four of the six macro-themes of the festival: From Atoms to Galaxies (physics, chemistry, astronomy), Our Body (biology and medicine), Tech Me Out (technology and artificial intelligence) and Our society in a human key, with a focus on the social sciences and the philosophy of science. Space exploration, computational biophysics, sustainable hydrogen, gene therapy, cultured meat, embedded AI systems, quantum computing, complex networks for the social sciences, and also archaeology, innovative pedagogy and philosophy of science will be discussed.
