Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the MUSE - Science Museum of Trento located in the Albere district, the "Play MUSE" initiative began, the only recreational event in Italy that combines science with the world of games. On that day, all the museum's exhibition spaces, from the classrooms, to the conference room and the park, will be set up with board and role-playing games that will allow you to try out more than 300 titles, all in line with the topics covered in the different scientific areas, from prehistory to botany, from physics to mathematics, from biology to sustainability.
Exciting matches, set in ancient history or space, amidst tropical forests or mysterious caves. Research and exploration, conducted as scientists, alchemists, inventors, explorers and scholars. In Play MUSE, the playful proposals range from card games, strategy and action, to abstract and deduction games, from speed games to role-playing games and have been selected for their affinity to the world of science. Games of all genres can be played, including great classics and the latest novelties. There will also be a selection of the candidates for the Magnificent Goblin, the annual prize awarded by the National Goblin Lair, and the winners of the past years.
In the museum park, a large area dedicated to live role-playing (LARP) will be set up, a space dedicated to cultural associations that deal with play and the foodtruck area, with Francesco Street Food and Bar Picaro.
There will be the most famous but always exciting titles, miniature games with the support of the Asgard Aldeno association and Ghostbusters and Star Wars cosplay with the Saberguild and 501st Italica Garrison associations.
And still an area in which to try out the winning games of the Magnificent Goblin award and, for a competition of true champions/oni, the Goblin challenge with nine stages to play throughout the museum.
