On Thursday, June 5, 2025, the presentation of the book "Splendeva l 'innocenza" by Roberto Camurri will be held at the Municipal Library of Trento.
Luca is fortyyears old and leads a life without expectations, anchored in the past. He has always lived in Monterosso, runs the family bar with little enthusiasm, has an unstable relationship with Giulia and cannot forget Valentina, his first love when he was young. He spends his days scrolling on social media and serving at the counter Pietro and Alessio, his usual friends. But one day Alessio, in the throes of alcohol and drug abuse, disappears, forcing Luca to act. Driven by an old sense of guilt towards his friend and pervaded by memories of the summer of 2001, in which everything happened – love for Valentina, participation in the G8 in Genoa, the hasty escape from the clashes in which Alessio was injured and then abandoned – Luca sets out on his trail, saving him and finally finding forgiveness.
Between anger and disenchantment, nostalgia and redemption, Splendorava l 'innocenza is a love song to youth and friendship, and to what remains of us when we leave all regrets and start living again.
The meeting will be moderated and will end with a moment of discussion dedicated to the public.
The organization of the meetings is part of the framework of the Pact for the reading of the city of Trento and is the result of the collaboration between the Municipal Library of Trento and the Two-Point Library, among the signatories of the Pact.
