A choral work born from the desire to reconstruct a historical era in a "special" territory between Ossola and Valais. A story that begins at the end of the 1700s and ends in the early 1970s, told by the testimonies of the last Ossola shoulder soldiers, financiers, Swiss border guards and local historians, both Italian and Swiss. The documentary therefore has a historical root but it is also an opportunity to travel between the high valleys in Ossola and Valais.
Nicola Buffoni is a director, author, creative director and executive producer. He attends Hypothesis Cinema directed by Ermanno Olmi. He worked for a long time as an editor, collaborating with important directors such as Virzì, Salvatores, Muccino, Soldini. He directs and produces commercials, documentaries and television products.
