Sunday, February 2, 2025: "Sunday at the Museum" at the Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo
Doors open to the sites of Tridentum, the Roman Trento, on Sunday 2 February on the occasion of #domenicalmuseo. The S.A.S.S. Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas, in Piazza Cesare Battisti, and the Villa di Orfeo, in Via Rosmini, can be visited free of charge from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
To learn more and explore the sites in the company of an expert, the Educational Services of the Provincial Archaeological Heritage Office propose at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. "A journey through time to discover the Roman Tridentum" two guided tours of the 2,000-year-old city from the SAS to the Villa di Orfeo. Participation is free of charge upon reservation on 0461 230171.
NEW AUDIO GUIDE TO THE UNDERGROUND ARCHAEOLOGICAL SPACE OF THE SAS
To deepen your knowledge of the ancient Roman city, the S.A.S.S. Underground Archaeological Space of the Sas, in Piazza Cesare Battisti in Trento, offers its visitors a new audio guide that can be downloaded for free on smartphones and tablets through the QR code available at the entrance to the site. The audio guide is prepared for Android and iOS devices with texts in three languages (Italian, English and German), optimized for both listening and reading on screen. Along the tour there are 11 stages with as many points of interest through the remains of what was once an eastern district of Tridentum, the city founded by the Romans in the first century BC. To enjoy the experience, the S.A.S.S. can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5.30 pm.
