"The end as a beginning" is the title of the 2024 edition of the Taboo Festival, which reflects on the concept of the end - death, the end of a relationship, a situation or a collective process - as an opportunity to create a new beginning, a new story. The programme of the 2024 edition runs for two weeks from 2 to 11 May, will occupy all the spaces of the Teatro di Villazzano in Trento and includes theatre performances, interactive performances, informal events and installations.
Festival Tabù wants to be a place open to meeting and for this reason the first event that kicks off the programming is a multidisciplinary event that mixes the informal atmosphere of an aperitif. "Spin On Spin Off" (2 May beginning at 6.30 pm) offers an innovative way of experiencing the theatre. During the evening there will be three mini shows and a beer tasting of the Trentino Foravia craft brewery. The three shows are: "A show for those who live in times of extinction", a reading by Beatrice Elena Festi of a text by Miranda Rose Hall; "Boundaries: death in the work of Shakespeare", a talk show curated by the stand-up comedians Andrea Visibelli and Jacopo Pagliari; and "Memories" by and with Giulio Macrì and Nicola Lorusso, the story of two souls who delve into the past chasing the reminiscence of thatmoment that turned their existence upside down.
