Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Sosat Hall in Via Malpaga in central Trento, as well as the main venue for Katharsis concerts, the famous Texan pianist "Luis Gustavo Sanchez" will perform; born in Argentina, he is currently Director of the Keyboard Department at Texas A&M University-Commerce and has performed in concerts in the United States, South America, Europe and Asia. Katharsis celebrates its tenth anniversary with two extraordinary concerts, given by internationally renowned pianists, Luis Sanchez (TEXAS, in Trento on June 15) and Roberto Cominati (ITALY, in Pinzolo on August 16). Katharsis is a festival organized by ARS MODI APS under the artistic direction of the Trentino pianist and composer Edoardo Bruni, and aims to promote contemporary, classical and jazz music. The program includes music by Johann Christian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Schubert, Franz Liszt, and is completed with a tribute by Sanchez to his own illustrious fellow countryman, the composer Alberto Ginastera, whose famous Creole Dances will be performed, a piece loved by the public and now firmly entered the piano repertoire of the 20th century.
