Today's Boys are unable to feel the difference between good and evil. Umberto Galimberti stresses the importance of "emotional resonance", a process through which one understands the emotional consequences of one's behaviour.
This lack, Galimberti argues, can lead to not recognizing the difference between good and evil, a principle that according to Kant should be intuitive. Galimberti points out that this intuitive perception is less evident in the new generations. The issue concerns not only families but also educational institutions, inviting us to reflect on the importance of an education that goes beyond the simple transmission of knowledge, to also embrace emotional and ethical development.
