From 22 November 2025 to 30 May 2026 at Palazzo delle Albere in Trento, an exhibition called "The power of machines. Humanity, environment, technology in 16th-century Trentino ".
The first half of the 16th century is an era in which mechanical ingenuity and technological innovation profoundly influence the economy, society and the environment. The exhibition takes you on a journey to discover the many, often ambivalent, implications of these profound changes. From the invention of the press to astronomical exploration, from maps to objects of daily use, from medicine to agriculture: a thematic itinerary through the rooms of the Palazzo delle Albere, where original objects, rare volumes and ancient instruments tell centuries-old stories of transformation, innovation and resistance. The temporary exhibition is part of the program of the Euregio Anno dei Musei 2025 / Euregio Museum Jahr 2025, born on the occasion of the five hundredth anniversary of the peasant movements in Tyrol. A year of cultural initiatives, curated by over 70 institutions from the three territories, to reflect on the role of technology in the construction of modern societies and the tensions that it has generated, yesterday as today.
