The Chicos Mambo show "Tutu" will be staged at the Teatro Sociale in Trento on 19 and 20 December 2024.
Tutu is a farcical, intelligent and over-the-top show that entertains and excites the audience.
In 24 paintings, the Chicos Mambo revisit all types of dance and make fun, without any taboo, of the codes of choreography. They range from classical dance in tutus to the contemporary dance of Pina Bausch ,La Sagra della Primavera, the artistic gymnastics of Nadia Comaneci and her imitators, tango and even Maori "haka" dance.
Each scene is a surprise of colours, the performers joyfully transport us into their fantastic and theatrical universe. The comic inventions are underlined by the costumes, delirious variations of the classic tutu, jackets, hats, duck tails and trousers that allow a bird to dance.
The crew founded by Philippe Lafeuille is known for its self-irony and the art of laughing, but also for the seriousness with which it carries out its creed: the love for dance above all else.
