Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Aula Magna of the Franco Demarchi Foundation located in Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore.
Organization and management of the meeting promoted by the provincial Equal Opportunities Commission "Women, environment and climate", a meeting open to all citizens with the aim of recognizing the importance of women's empowerment also in the environmental sector.
Women have been at the forefront of climate change issues for some time, but there are still many of their unexpressed potential in terms of commitment within sectors such as environmental education, green projects and in general "good practices" related to the environment.
In addition, much can be done to raise awareness and sensitize society to the fact that biological, socio-economic and cultural differences affect the state of well-being of all.
The importance of promoting the empowerment of women in the environmental sector is now recognised. Information, decisions and daily practices related to the environment have strong social, economic and political repercussions. Through these efforts, women can become powerful agents of climate change mitigation and adaptation, through actions in private and family life, society and institutions.
