Starting from the "Forte di Civezzano" you can reach "Cima Calisio" through an evocative itinerary enriched by illustrative panels that tell the story of the numerous military fortifications along the way.
The route passes through the Dos di Castel Vedro, where there is a small cave fort (privately owned), and continues on the slopes of the Dos Castion, between artillery positions and trenches. The trail offers two variants: a simpler one and a more demanding one, the 403 trail.
The summit is also accessible along the military road, originally built for the transport of artillery pieces. Just below the summit cross, you can explore an intricate system of underground tunnels, the remains of the majestic Monte Calisio armoured battery, a work of great historical and engineering importance.
