Two modern exhibition spaces, managed by the Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino, housed in an unprecedented and exciting place: two former road tunnels!

The name "Le Gallerie" already suggests that you are not entering a traditional museum... so get ready for a different kind of experience, one that is interactive and engaging. Two road tunnels that were in use until 2007 have been converted into two modern exhibition spaces known as the Galleria Nera (Black Tunnel) and the Galleria Bianca (White Tunnel). The Galleria Nera is 300 metres long and it contains large installations featuring media such as photos and videos that are all about the history and stories of Trentino. The Galleria Bianca is a venue for temporary exhibitions and events.
The museum is in the Piedicastello area, under Doss Trento. If you would like enjoy a pleasant stroll in natural surroundings near the city after your visit to the museum, head to the Mausoleum of Cesare Battisti (an Italian patriot); the walk takes takes around 30 minutes.

STRENGTH A
unique location for an engaging and innovative museum.
