Trento, Piazza Cesare Battisti
On the occasion of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, a rich program of cultural and sporting events and activities will enliven the capital of Trentino.
GIMME FIVE is a unique project organized by the Trento Tourist Board in collaboration with the Trento Film Festival, with the support of the Municipality of Trento and Trentino Marketing, the provincial CONI and CIP committees, and the provincial Olympic Coordination Committee.
Chosen as the venue for the city's “Olympic events,” Piazza Cesare Battisti will host talks, workshops, and themed literary presentations in the former Niccolini space, as well as a big screen to follow the competitions live, two stands dedicated to local food and wine, and a skating rink that will be open for the duration of the Olympic Games until February 22, which will also host exhibitions and promotional activities organized by sports associations and clubs, enlivening the square even on weekends in March.
Finally, there will be space for cinema, with dedicated screenings in various theaters in the capital, from the Multisala Modena to the Supercinema Vittoria, passing through the spaces of HarpoLab.
The Piné Plateau will also have its moment in the spotlight. The LAC Library in Baselga di Piné and the Piné 1000 Congress Center will be transformed into landmarks where visitors can experience the Olympic atmosphere firsthand. Here, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the great dreams of the five rings through a photographic exhibition, live broadcasts, film screenings, and dedicated meetings.
