On Friday, 12 April at 8.30 pm, the new project by the Elementary Theatre and Special Waste companies entitled All About Him will debut at the Cuminetti Theatre in Trento.
The project, which sees Carolina De La Calle Casanova and Manuela Fischietti as protagonists and authors of the text, is also carried out thanks to the collaboration with the Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara di Trento, which organised and hosted a theatrical residency at the Teatro Cuminetti. And it is precisely in this context that the project has had the opportunity to develop and grow.
A show in which the pair of artists, with irony and sarcasm, explore the verbal, social, political, religious and poetic meanings of the male member.
Everything about him, through the language of cabaret, improvisation with the audience and political satire, was born as a theatrical attempt to restore to the organ phallus an old and at the same time new meaning, more measured with our days. As a symbol of male power and a patriarchal society, the show telling "almost" everything about him brings the phallus back to an "organ" dimension like the others, also questioning its insecurities and fragility. A sincere and uncensored interview where he will be able to declare who he is, what he thinks, how he feels, if he really wanted to be the center of the world or if he would have preferred to live without clamor trying to understand who attributed all this importance to him.
An act of willful arrogance on the part of two women who decide to question their historical alter ego, putting themselves on par with what has always been a symbol of coercive power and machismo.
A show that, through the key of fun, aims to address knots related to our contemporaneity.
The project is enriched by important collaborations, including artists known in the Italian scene such as the musician Marcello Gori, the actor Alberto Astorri and the actress Maria Giulia Scarcella. Dr. Francesca De Pretis and the professionals of the Free Zone Association also provided advice on sex education.
