Where did the relationship between the full moon and werewolves come from? What are the deadliest plants and fungi in the world? And what mysterious creatures hide in the museum's basements?
On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, the MUSE - Science Museum launches "MUSE All nighter", a disturbing night to live a unique and exclusive experience and explore the most irrational fears of the human being.
The animation in the rooms starts at 10 pm: the activity "Plants and mushrooms... scary!" sheds light on the risks, strategies and even deadly traps that some plant beings put in place to ensure protection or ensure nourishment; "Monstrous creatures and where to find them" is an opportunity to observe and touch tarantulas, snakes and scorpions up close; "Beware of demons" proposes a terrifying invasion of krampus and other dark monsters, curated by the Göllerspitz Tuifl association. Even the darkest corners of the museum become the scene of the event. Like the scientific collections, usually inaccessible to the public and for the occasion open to bring to light the strangest finds never exhibited before. And the terrace on the top floor, illuminated only by moonlight: here, the experts of the Muse will debunk the superstitions that link the full moon to mysterious creatures called werewolves.
