At the Redebus Pass, at an altitude of 1440 m, between the Pinè Plateau and the Mòcheni Valley, is the Acqua Fredda archaeological site, one of the most important prehistoric foundries from the late Bronze Age (13th-11th century B.C.) in the entire Alps. The smelting furnaces brought to light by archaeologists testify to the intense activity of extraction and processing of copper minerals since the earliest times.

At the LAC Library in Piné. Activities for children and families on prehistoric metallurgy, with reading of the myth of Vulcano, sensory path and practical workshop. Recommended age: from 5 years.

Guided tour of the archaeological area and readings from the stories of Giuseppe Šebesta with accordion accompaniment. Event related to the exhibition dedicated to Šebesta.

- 25 July at 9:30 am - Eco del Rame: trekking between archaeology and mines
An excursion that combines archaeology, nature and a visit to the Erdemolo mine. Includes trekking in Valle del Fersina and return shuttle service
Cost of participation €5 upon booking by 5 pm the day before the initiative at 346 3627221.
At the Frotten car park, a shuttle bus service will be guaranteed to return to the starting point.
In collaboration with the Municipality of Palù del Fersina and the Mòcheno Cultural Institute.

A laboratory for learning and having fun with lots of curiosities related to the world of metallurgy and nature. Suitable for families with children aged 5-11.

Visit to the Mòcheno Cultural Institute and the "Sperkmandelhaus" Mineralogical Museum, walk to Acqua Fredda and learn more about Mòcheno culture and prehistoric metallurgy.
Meeting point in Palù del Fersina at the Institute, walk to the site and return to Palù by shuttle bus (approximately 6:30 pm).
