The exhibition is dedicated to the theme of trench pastimes during the First World War, a lesser-known but deeply human aspect of life at the front. Through a selection of explanatory and in-depth panels, the exhibition tells how the soldiers managed to carve out moments of leisure and creativity even in the most difficult conditions, between expectations, silences and hopes.
The exhibition is enriched by numerous original exhibits from the curators' private collections, which testify to the ingenuity, resilience and everyday life of the military during the conflict. Objects, materials and stories accompany the visitor on an intimate and engaging journey through the history of the Great War.
The exhibition is set up at the National Historical Museum of the Alpini and can be visited from Saturday 21 February to Sunday 26 April, during the opening hours of the Museum, which can be consulted on the official website, click here!
Admission to the Museum and the exhibition is free, offering visitors, families and history enthusiasts a valuable opportunity to delve into the historical memory and discover a significant chapter of the Alpine cultural heritage.
