On Easter weekend and Monday, April 1, 2024, our museums await you to travel back in time to discover the oldest history in the area. The sites of Roman Trento, the Underground Archaeological Space of Sas, under Piazza Cesare Battisti, and the Roman Villa of Orfeo, in Via Rosmini, can be visited from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 to 5.30 p.m. In addition to the path in the Tridentum of two thousand years ago, the S.A.S.S. hosts the exhibition "From the earth to the future. Journey into the 150 years of the Edmund Mach Foundation ".
In Fiavé, to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the 3,500-year-old pile-dwelling village, the Archeo Natura Park and the Museo delle Palafitte will be open on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 1 pm to 6 pm. On Monday 1 April, from 2 pm to 4.30 pm, as part of the "Spring in the stilt" exhibition, visitors will find a special welcome with "Welcome back to the Park!" an afternoon to explore prehistory with engaging demonstration archaeology activities for adults and children.
At the Museo Retico in Sanzeno, which can be visited from 2 pm to 6 pm, it is possible to retrace the ancient history of the Val di Non, from the Palaeolithic hunters to the early Middle Ages, through the "well of time" and learn about aspects and curiosities of the daily life of the networks of the pre-Roman population that inhabited the valley in the Iron Age. Also on display in the museum is the bronze reconstruction of the "karnyx", the war trumpet used by the Celts in battle to terrorise enemies.
