The "European Creative Contest, Euregio Klassika International Composition Competition - Young Creative Contest Award - Trento Award" will be held in the city of Trento on 19 and 20 September 2024, at the "Sala degli Affreschi" of the Trento Municipal Library. The international commission, chaired by Ivana Francisci (pianist, harpsichordist and composer), will be formed by musicians such as Oliver Weder (Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Thueringen Symphony Orchestra and Rudolstadt Opera, Germany), Luigi Azzolini (Director of the Choir of the Trento Social Theatre, later Regional Lyric Choir, and in 2003 founder of the Ensemble Vocale Continuum), Francesco Di Mauro (former Superintendent of the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra Foundation), Adam Wesołowski (Composer) and others.
In this 2024 edition, the inspiring theme for composers will be: Tolerance and respect for diversity.
This will make Trento an ideal territory for meeting and debate between different cultures. The music of the candidates that will be sent in sheet music and in mp3 format to the Euregio Klassika Association, will be listened to and analyzed by the international commission that will meet on the first day of meetings to carry out the first elimination test. The committee will meet on the second day in public session as students from the Conservatory of Trento, the Conservatory of Bolzano and some Trento Lyceums (Bonporti and Prati) will be present and, by secret ballot, will have to award the Young Creative Contest Prize. The international commission of experts will award the First, Second, Third Prize and the Special Prize "Trento". The winners will receive the diploma of merit, a cash prize and the performance of their artistic creation in public concerts, by important concert institutions and musical associations of the Euregio in particular and throughout Europe in general.
