Among villages, bees and stars: a summer afternoon in Cimone
12 August 2026 | from 16:00 Covelo di Cimone
A guided walk through history, nature and the starry sky to live an authentic experience in the territory of Cimone.
The meeting is at 4.00 pm at the headquarters of the Pro Loco Cimone APS, departing at 4.30 pm. The route, about 4 km long, crosses the picturesque districts of the historic centre of Covelo and then reaches the town of Sant'Anna, immersed in the woods and crossed by quiet tree-lined secondary roads.
Here, participants will meet a local beekeeper and a local expert who will accompany the group to discover the fascinating world of bees, fundamental protagonists for the balance of the environment and today more than ever to be protected. If the weather conditions and the activity of the hive allow, it will be possible to attend a demonstration of the beekeeper's work and taste the honey produced in Cimone.
At the end of the visit, the return will follow the route of the outward journey to the Pro Loco headquarters, where it will be possible to attend a summer dinner (by reservation).
Menu – € 15
- Three assorted bruschetta
- Delicious cold rice
- Tiramisù
- Water and wine included
The evening will continue around 10:00 pm at the nearby municipal park with an appointment dedicated to the observation of the sky. Led by an astronomy and astronomical photography enthusiast, participants will be able to admire the Perseids, the famous shooting stars of San Lorenzo, learning to recognize constellations and celestial phenomena in an evocative atmosphere.
A special opportunity to spend a day surrounded by local culture, nature, local flavours and the magic of the August sky.
