On Tuesday, 29 April at 3 pm at the Multisala Modena, as part of the Trento Film Festival programme, the documentary "Interno Museo" will be screened, which tells the story and present of a cultural institution that went from being a Risorgimento Museum in the early decades of the twentieth century to today's Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino. The film, directed by Elena Goatelli and Ángel Esteban who will be present in the theater, also makes visible the behind the scenes of an institution known for its many activities: exhibitions, publications, audiovisual productions.
It was founded in 1923 as the Museo del Risorgimento in Trento, immediately showing a strong propensity to dialogue with the contemporary world. A characteristic that maintains over time, even in the context of a thousand changes.
The documentary tells the story of the Museum in two ways. On the one hand, it follows the evolution of the institution, its phases of growth and development through the voices of those who have worked there or know it well from the outside. On the other hand, it shows the behind the scenes of the work in its different areas and sectors: exhibition spaces, collections, teaching, public history, but also meetings, training meetings, travelling through the corridors.
In short, a living Museum, where history and the present are constantly intertwined.
A Museum told by the two directors following the activity of employees and collaborators for almost a year.
