On 25, 26 and 27 August 2023 in Montevaccino di Trento at the Community Club or Social Centre,

the Monteatrarte Festival - Risalite, three days dedicated to culture.

It is an art and theatre festival that aims to offer the local community of Montevaccino, the whole of Argentario and the municipality of Trento an encounter with the young artistic creation by presenting three theatre performances and three site-specific contemporary art interventions.

Born from the meeting between Spazio Piera and Giulio Macrì, the MONTEATRARTE festival will return two artistic residences in the mountain area, the first one featuring a theatre company and the second one featuring a time of creation for visual artists.

This moment of sharing will focus on intergenerational cultural dialogue and the protagonism of the community. The three days of the festival will be punctuated by evening shows, and many cultural activities, including a show dedicated to children and a participatory artistic intervention. In addition, the visual artists will propose three site-specific interventions in the country's spaces with itinerant guided tours to bring the community closer to contemporary art.

GO BACK:

The theme "going back" stems from the desire to meet again, to understand each other as individuals, communities, territories.
Going up a stream, going up in time and space, against the current. Go back to understand what we derive from and what we derive from.
Go back and into the depths, reconstruct the origin, go back, look for your roots, your IDENTITY, discovering something new, unexpected, to avoid finding yourself there, adrift.

The three shows A – MAR, Like an ant in a land of elephantsOrnella and Almost like Elizabeth Taylor as well as the visual artists, Guido RavanelliGiulio Boccardi and Mahatsanga Le Dantec will propose a reflection and a look at the theme of identity, social and gender but also dedicated to underlining the local territorial and historical identity.
