Electronic music still stars at SanbàPolis with Stump Valley and Chilean DJ Paula Tape on March 23, 2024.
After the sell-out of the second event, the great international artists from the world of club culture from Basement return, the series of events dedicated to the world of electronic music, included in the SanbàClub programme curated by the Santa Chiara Cultural Services Centre in Trento.
The protagonists of the third date of this season, Saturday 23 March 2024 at the Teatro SanbàPolis in Trento, will be the STUMP VALLEY, founders of the Magica Movida Studio in Berlin, and the main event of the evening dedicated to the Chilean DJ PAULA TAPE, which in recent years has become a reference point for lovers of the intersections between house music and Balearic music.
Founders of the Magica Movida Studio in Berlin, also featured in the documentary "Italy House In The ‘90s" by Diadora, Stump Valley are one of the great revelations on the rise thanks to their releases on international labels such as ToyTonics, Dekmantel, Soul Clap and Rush Hour. Their sound is characterized by the spasmodic search for rare and unconventional grooves that have helped shape their style and bring them to prestigious consoles including those of the Panorama Bar, Concrete, Rex, Corsica Studios, Le Bain in New York and the famous Boiler Room format.
Growing up in Santiago de Chile before moving to Europe, Paula Tape has built her experience from drummer, in different indie formations, to console with enormous naturalness. Her productions have impressed several high-profile international selectors including Gilles Peterson, who recruited her for his Worldwide FM at the helm of the very personal show "Astral Jam". Important names also for the labels on which Paula has produced, including Rhythm Section and Permanent Vacation. In addition to cult clubs including Koko, Fabrik, Le Sucre, Panorama Bar, Vent and Pikes, Paula has starred in festivals such as the famous Glastonbury, along with the legendary DJ Harvey at Nuits Sonore and many more.
The Opening Act of the evening will once again be entrusted to the Basement Soundsystem collective, which brings together some of the most talented DJs and producers on the national scene, active in the territory for many years, with several projects dedicated to clubbing, music journalism and club culture from a social and sociological point of view. Among them Nicola Belli and Matteo Roma, founders of the collective and creative minds behind many of the Basement projects. The Basement exhibition will also bring artists of international caliber over the coming months, with the last appointment, before the summer break, on April 26, trying to complete an ideal journey between styles, genres and movements that have marked the transformation of club culture over the last few years, also telling sociologically a bit of the history of contemporary reality.
