November 4, 2026 / 11.00 am - 7.00 pm
On Wednesday 4 and Sunday 8 November 2026, at the MUSE – Science Museum and at Palazzo delle Albere in Trento, a series of initiatives will be held dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the 1966 flood, one of the most dramatic events in the recent history of the Trentino area.
Between 4 and 5 November of thatyear, exceptional rains caused landslides and flooding, causing over twenty casualties and extensive damage. The tragedy deeply marked the collective memory and helped to transform the approach to urban planning, risk prevention and the defence of the territory.
To commemorate this anniversary, MUSE, in collaboration with the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino and Mart, offers scientific activities, cultural meetings and an experience on the river Adige. The initiatives will offer the opportunity to deepen the history of the flood, understand the natural risks and reflect on the importance of prevention and environmental protection.
