Music and concerts / April 30, 2026 · Trento

Since its inception in 1795, the Trento Philharmonic has been the beacon of the city's musical activity; in 2025, with the transformation into a Foundation and the merger with the Tartarotti Foundation of Trento, the institution has further expanded its cultural scope, strengthening its mission of musical promotion, which includes musicological research, the historical archive, the heritage of instruments and scholarships in support of emerging young artists, in network with prestigious national institutions (AMUR, AIAM).

Today it presents a rich Concert Season dedicated to the chamber repertoire, inviting the top performers on the world scene to Trento: a constellation of talents, from Fazil Say to Sol Gabetta, from the Janoska Ensemble to Avi Avital, from Wayne Marshall to the Jerusalem Quartet, from the Swingle Singers to Lilya Zilberstein, from Voces8 to Jordi Savall, from Jean Rondeau to the Jussen brothers, from Jan Lisiecki to Sheku Kanneh – Mason, from the Danish String Quartet to the B’Rock Orchestra.

Filarmonica EXTRA expands the cultural horizon of the Foundation with initiatives aimed at heterogeneous audiences. Filarmonica Casual offers concerts that combine different languages and new forms of performance; MiniFilarmonica accompanies children and families in participatory musical experiences; FA-RE. Concerts for Schools introduces the school public to the fundamentals of musical language, while Invitation to Listen, in collaboration with the University of the Third Age, promotes in-depth courses for adults. Jazz evenings explore the history and contaminations of the genre through words and live music, and Musica da Grlo welcomes the little ones in a free and spontaneous first encounter with live music.

All the concerts take place in the Philharmonic Hall in Via Verdi, designed in 1905 by the architect Emilio Paor: an excellent room for acoustics, equipped with two Grand Coda Steinway concert pianos and an organ built in 1907 by the Turin-based Vegezzi-Bossi company, restored in 2000 by Mascioni.
