All aboard! Onboard the Castle Train, to travel through time!
A tour to discover the castles of Trentino, with some tasty breaks
Trentino is not just a land of majestic mountains and romantic alpine lakes: perched on rocky spurs or nestled on gentle hills, there are dozens of castles that have dominated valleys and ancient roads for centuries. Each of them tells a different story, flavored with legend. How about discovering them?
One of the most original ways to visit some of the most important castles of Trentino is to board the Castle Train. This special train departs from Trento in summer, and takes you through the Val di Sole and Val di Non to discover four castles. The tour lasts a day and during the journey, you will be offered delicious snacks based on local products.
The program includes departure from the Trento-Malè railway station in Trento, a city rich in history and art, nestled in the heart of the Alps, and heads towards Castello San Michele and Castel Caldes in Val di Sole, passing by the private residence of Castel Valer, until reaching the majestic Castel Thun in Val di Non. Between visits, a healthy breakfast offered by Melinda and SOSI Trento, a tasty lunch paired with wines from Cantina Rotari featuring local products at the Giardino di Cles restaurant, and finally a sweet snack to enjoy under the magical sunset light, in the enchanting setting of an ancient manor.
Respecting nature and biodiversity is close to our hearts. You can also contribute to the protection of our territory by adopting small gestures and responsible behaviors https://www.trento.info/per-un-turismo-responsabile
