The Author's Walk is a special guided tour to discover the historic center of Trento, along an unusual and evocative route that winds between the two squares of the Christmas Market.
The visit intertwines history and poetry, guiding participants through ancient streets, hidden courtyards, monumental palaces, and charming glimpses, where every stone tells the past of the city of the Council.
Along the way, the historical narration is intertwined with the “author's stops”: a poetic itinerary created by the Trento Tourism Board in collaboration with the Trentino writer Riccardo Bertoldi, where the shop windows, cafés, and restaurants are illuminated with words, becoming guardians of kind thoughts.
The quotes, hand-drawn by the Trentino illustrator Silvia Benedetti, accompany the journey like small gifts of beauty, inviting everyone to savor the moment, smile, and let themselves be inspired. The walk leads to the Magical Garden, a new place of lights and enchantment where at the corner of words everyone can leave a thought to share, before concluding in Piazza Mostra. Here, at the foot of the Castello del Buonconsiglio, the lights of the Christmas Market welcome participants in an embrace of aromas and smiles to toast together with a cup of mulled wine or hot tea.
