OPEN PALACES
With its distinctive shapes welcoming visitors upon their arrival in Trento, Dòss
Trento is an important park rich in features that are not only natural and scenic, but
also historical and cultural.
The naturalistic value of the area is subject to significant protections: in fact, there are quite rare plant
species present and living testimonies of climates different from the current one. An
expert from MUSE will guide visitors in their exploration.
The National Historical Museum of the Alpini is part of the historical heritage of Doss Trento
alongside the Mausoleum of Cesare Battisti and the foundations of the early Christian Basilica.
The modern structure of the Museum is equipped with multimedia displays, touchscreens, and
film projections that narrate the history of the Alpini from 1872 to the present day.
On the occasion of "Open Palaces," at the end of the walk, the active military personnel
at the Museum will propose a tour through its fascinating halls.
