Feste Vigiliane is the playful soul of Trento, a journey back to the Middle Ages through rituals, traditions and performances celebrating the patron saint, San Vigilio.
The heart of the event has always been symbolic rituals such as the Historical Parade with the Flag Raising and the Oath of the Raftsmen, the evocative Tribunal of Penance, the spectacular Tonca in the waters of the Adige, the Challenge of the Ciusi and the Gobj and the traditional Palio dell'Oca, culminating in the eagerly awaited fireworks display of the Fuochi di San Vigilio.
The festival reaches every corner of the city, from Piazza Fiera to Piazza Duomo, including the historic districts, with a rich programme of cultural events accompanied by music, food and wine, and entertainment for all ages.
