A section of an exciting route to retrace memories, identities, and values of a historic territory.
Conceived by SAT in 1988, the San Vili (San Vigilio) Trail, patron martyr of Trento, connects the city capital to the village of Madonna di Campiglio. Born as a cultural challenge to find a connection between city and mountain, it aims to highlight the differences in rural landscapes, historical events, and geographical changes of the territory it crosses.
There are two itineraries this trail follows: an "upper" one and a "lower
" one. The one included in the map described here is a variant connecting the city of Trento with the villages of Vela, Sardagna, Sopramonte, Baselga del Bondone, and Vigolo Baselga, continuing beyond.
