A demonstration is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, in Gries am Brenner (Austria), which will result in a temporary closure of traffic along the Brenner corridor in both northbound and southbound directions.
From 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the following will be closed:
- the A13 Brenner Motorway, on the section between the Brenner border and the main Schönberg toll plaza;
- the B182 Brenner State Road on the Austrian side.
This weekend coincides with a period of particularly heavy traffic along the Brenner corridor, between the return from the Pentecost holidays and departures for the June 2 long weekend. For this reason, traffic jams and delays may occur not only during the scheduled closure but also in the hours and days leading up to and following May 30.
