Palazzo Geremia

The building, built at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, stands out as one of the first completed examples of Renaissance architecture in Trentino and anticipates many solutions adopted in the buildings of the Clesian era.

The anonymous painter who frescoed the façade manifests a figurative culture similar to that of Veronese and Vicenza at the end of the fifteenth century. Highlighting historical and moral themes such as: the meeting of Maximilian I with the citizenry, the Wheel of Fortune, Marco Curzio on horseback, the sacrifice of Muzio Scevola and Lucrezia. Even the framing of the stone elements, punctuated by the elegant quadrifore, refers to schemes typical of contemporary Venetian architecture. Today it is the representative headquarters of the Municipality of Trento. It cannot be visited, except by prior agreement with the municipal offices.
