The Gallerie di Piedicastello is a unique cultural space in the Italian landscape, located in Trento, in the Piedicastello district. Built from two former disused road tunnels, the Galleria Bianca and the Galleria Nera, they represent a significant example of architectural recovery and reconversion of urban infrastructure into places dedicated to culture and memory.
Managed by the Fondazione Museo Storico del Trentino, Le Gallerie hosts temporary exhibitions, multimedia exhibitions, artistic installations and cultural events that address issues related to contemporary history, society, identity and the transformations of the Trentino region, with an open eye also to national and international contexts.
The large exhibition spaces, characterized by a strong visual impact and a suggestive atmosphere, allow immersive and innovative set-ups, capable of involving the visitor in an experience of discovery and reflection. The Gallerie di Piedicastello is thus a meeting place between past and present, where memory, research and contemporary languages dialogue in an accessible and stimulating way.
