Discovering Trento from Above with the Sardagna Cable Car
The Trento–Sardagna Cable Car is not only a form of public transportation but also one of Trento’s most fascinating scenic attractions: in just a few minutes, it connects the city center with the small village of Sardagna, offering a breathtaking view of the Adige Valley and the surrounding mountains during the ascent.
Once there, visitors can easily reach the Busa degli Orsi viewpoint, which offers one of the most breathtaking views of the entire city and the surrounding Alpine landscape. For information on operating hours, frequency of service, and any updates, please visit the official website of Trentino Trasporti, which operates the cable car.
The Trento-Sardagna cable car will be closed for maintenance from Monday, March 16, through Friday, March 27, 2026.
The usual replacement service will be available, departing from Sardagna (bus stop S.P. 85, intersection with Via Caduti di Sardagna) and from Trento (bus station and S. Lorenzo overpass).
