Natural paths of beauty and healing
The Kneipp trail is located near the Buse pond, one of the stops along the sensory and alpine variant of the E5 trail, which starts in Bedollo and leads to the Redebus Pass.
It uses a therapeutic method that aims to treat various types of ailments by activating the body’s natural self-healing techniques. It is based on naturopathy, a philosophy that views the body, mind, and spirit as a single, complex whole to be treated with entirely natural methods.
The trail involves walking barefoot along a path connecting two pools containing 30 cm of cold running water sourced directly from the Brusago stream; it forms a loop that leads participants to walk on natural materials—wood and stone—capable of storing and re-emitting the sun’s energy at varying temperatures.
Benches have been placed alongside the path for resting and a moment of reflection after the treatment, along with designated areas where visitors can leave their shoes before walking the barefoot section.
