The "Museo Nazionale Storico degli Alpini" can be reached by a pleasant walk in the countryside, reaching the Parco del Dos Trento from the district of Piedicastello, as well as one of the most historic districts of the city of Trento. The structure of the new museum is a large modern and avant-garde building, harmonized with the natural landscape of Dos Trento. On the main façade, under the new inscription of the "Museo Nazionale Storico degli Alpini", you can admire the "Vittoria Alata", a work by the artist "Biancini di Faenza".
Arriving from the Strada degli Alpini, there is a large staircase that leads to the entrance of the Museum. At the base of the staircase are the two stone columns with the plaques "Fondazione Acropoli Alpina" and "Museo Storico delle Truppe Alpine"; next to them, there is the Victory of the First World War bulletin.* To the left of the staircase, three pieces of artillery are positioned.
Along the sides of the staircase there are several stones made in memory of the Alpine Infantry Regiments, the Mountain Artillery Regiments and the mixed and autonomous Battalions. At its top, space widens to make room for our flag, next to it, there is a plaque in memory of the Fallen.
At the entrance you can download our free application, which allows you to integrate the exhibition part with the digital descriptive one; there is a multimedia where you can find the different information about the museum. Also at the entrance, on the right side there is a screen that displays the names of our donors, our benefactors and our collaborators.
On the right there is a space with lockers dedicated to the visiting public and toilets (including those for people with disabilities).
Also in the entrance hall, the tour of the Museum begins in front of it: through the central body, it develops along the Sala Medaglie d 'Oro and towards the new "Alpino in movimento" exhibition part created in the large space to the north; the tour continues with the "Alpine themes" area along the east sector that leads back to the exit.
Free admission.
